I am very interested in writing images of women with African roots. I like dark skin tones, from chocolate to dark purple. Perhaps I lack contrast in my face.
Or it could be because many people are generally drawn to the exotic. But here again, I drew a dark-skinned girl in a bright red dress. The contrast between dark skin and fiery red fabric is impressive, isn't it?
Strictly speaking, this is a repeat of my painting six years ago. And that picture has been "living" in America for several years with one charming musician.
Now I have decided to do it again.
