Original artwork description:

I did a series of these looser works, where the background was applied thickly with a palette knife over a fluorescent ground. I liked the juxtaposition of the realistic body and the otherworldly water. I have revisited these recently as I felt the addition of the spots as a nod to the bubbles enhanced the painting. I really love the playfulness of the spots with the suspended effect of the body.
