Original artwork description:

Inspiration for this series comes from something my mum used to tell us when we were growing up, she used to say that if we are in an unpleasant situation, a situation that generates pain and frustration and that we can’t change despite trying, the best thing we can do is do nothing. If we just let life unfold without resisting it, if we focus on life as it comes instead of worrying, if we let things flow freely, eventually everything will fix itself. This is thanks to an invisible force, like a wave passing through life, acting behind the scenes, constantly changing and reshaping everything. If we don’t oppose any resistance eventually everything will fall in the right place at the right time.
The mysterious energy can operate externally, in the way events unfold that change situations, or internally, through a consciousness rotation, a shift in perspective that changes judgment and generates a transformation.

I am trying to visually represent this positive force through fast and bold brush strokes, I wanted everything to look in movement, spontaneous, joyful, light as well as fleeting, transient, unpredictable, and out of control. These paintings are an expression of a deep sense of freedom that comes when we are able to ride that invisible wave of non-attachment, leave things behind and move on.

This series is an homage to a very profound and inspiring teaching I received when I was young. I could not fully understand it then, but I fully understand it now and I am grateful for it.
