The painting is painted with acrylic colours on canvas stretched on a stretcher.
I chose a stretcher with wide ends so that the painting would look great without framing. Both the front side of the canvas and all the ends are painted with black paint.
As I have painted similar still lifes before, I know that the glare of light and the play of brown and golden shades of cognac look very winning on a black background.
