This piece is the culmination of many hours work - an extention of a series I started last summer based on meadows and wildflowers. What started out as a way to simplfy an image became something far more complicated. This painting took over my life: whenever I was not in the studio, I couldn't wait to get back to it. The colours, shape and form became an obsession! To say I am happy with this painting would be an understatement. I'm told it looks even better in the flesh.

Acrylic ink, acrylic gouache and copper leaf on the deep edges.

Ready to hang.
