Artwork description:

A minimal style abstract of the beautiful sea around the Isle of Skye. Taken on the most perfect of days when the water was vibrant with all sorts of shades of seagreen, blue and violet. Looking from the cliff tops of Skye, the sea disappears into a blue horizon while each wave is etched in subtle colour. This image was created in camera using subtle movements to blur and smooth out the water.

Available in other sizes and on paper.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.

Other Sizes
This print is available in other sizes on canvas or paper. I am happy to take custom orders, just drop me a line. This print is available in smaller sizes and has a sister image so is beautiful as a Diptych.

A Note on Canvases
Canvases are unframed and unmounted, they need to be stretched or framed once you get them. They are matte varnished and come with 1.5 inch (4cm) gallery wrap with white sides. Once ready, they are carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped in a sturdy art tube to ensure safe delivery. All taxes and duties to be paid by the receiver.

Thanks for looking, if you have any questions just let me know.
