'Everlasting Eden' is part of a recent botanical series exploring the uplifting power of osmosis when we are immersed in nature.
The idea for this large immersive painting was sparked by a wonderful trip to the Glasgow Botanical Gardens last summer. Everything around me was in bloom at the same time, and I wanted to celebrate that through vibrant flora.
The circular glass ceiling cocooned around me like I was in a tropical womb, so the victorian structure was an essential backdrop to creating this piece.
All my work, abstract and botanical harks back to my favourite experience in front of a painting, namely through a difficult time at Fashion Uni in London. I went to the Rothko Room at the Tate Modern every evening just before closing, to be alone and meditate in front of the giant purple series. These formidable works filled my entire peripheral vision; that extreme transformative comfort has stayed with me after all these years.
That is the joy and comfort I aim to infuse into all my pieces; colour, form and immersion all working together. I deeply believe artists have an increasingly vital role in creating joy in the world.

Inspired by my frequent visits to botanical glasshouses and pavilions around the UK, and recent inspiration trips to Malta, Sicily and Barcelona.
This new series explores that incredible positive feeling of osmosis that happens when we as humans are immersed and spend time in nature.
Inspired by a new found love for painting tropical botanical scenes, this more figurative addition to my abstract work started in early 2023 into utopian escapist scenes.
This series has vistas that lie before you trapped in time, exploring how we hold favourite memories in our mind, each could be a rose-tinted memory. As a direct contrast to being trapped in confinement for two years as a collective with the world, this series explores freedom, nostalgia, gratitude and enjoying the simple things such as a holiday that maybe we took for granted before.
I've been visiting tropical pavilions around the country for inspiration, as well as my drawing from memories of my childhood in Szarvas, Hungary and travels over the years. This nostalgic series invites you to heal in the wonders of looking up, and becoming lost in amongst the flora.
This original painting has been signed and titled by me on the back of the canvas.
