Watercolor painting “Evening light. St. Andrew's Cathedral in Kyiv” was drawn from life during my cycling plein air travel across Ukraine in the summer of 2020.
Having gone to the open air on a warm summer evening in Kiev, I saw the cathedral beautifully illuminated by soft sunlight in contrast with the rich purple shadows of Andriyivsky Uzviz.
Having found a secluded corner in the shade so as not to interfere with anyone and so as not to interfere with me, I settled down to draw.
I managed to make a drawing as people approached and politely asked if they would interfere with me if they now arrange a small concert here, of course I said no.
And so I had the honor to draw this motif to the music of the People's Artist of Ukraine, Soviet and Ukrainian theater and film actor Yevgeny Gorbunov, Belarusian singer and Honored Artist of Ukraine Sergei Mikhalok, as well as the music group Amsterband.
I don’t know if there will ever be something like this in my life, working with a story that thus received a piece of celebrity energy :))
She is dear to me as a memory.
The work was painted by professional watercolors Maimeri Blu on 100% cotton watercolor paper 300 g/m2, which guarantees the durability of the preservation of the work under proper storage conditions, decorated under glass.
Also on my page you can see other original paintings painted from life during my plein air travels in Italy, India, Georgia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey. And also see my paintings with flowers and still lifes painted from nature.
All the funds raised from the sale of my paintings are used to make my dream of a mobile workshop based on a minibus come true. Now I travel the world on a bicycle, it is very exciting, but for greater productivity I need a minibus in which I will live, travel and paint.
