It's usually the simplest compositions, when illuminated just right, that make the most stunning images. I had been visiting this corner for almost a week, at different times of day – knowing there was something here but never quite achieving anything I was 100% happy with. Then, on my last night, I was hurrying to meet my wife for dinner when I passed this now-familiar spot and stopped dead in my tracks.

The evening light was so perfect that the normally stark white walls glowed with golden warmth that made it seem as though the surfaces had become soft as felt. Needless to say, I arrived late for dinner.
