In the realm of dystopian romanticism, a dark yellow house in the darkest night. One single lamp illuminates the scene, while a single garland of lights sheds its light onto a lone figure. They are waiting, leaning to the unknown, waiting for something to happen.

My paintings are built from a mixture of dark romantic paintings, film stills, and contemporary suburban photography. The main importance is the mixture of beauty and looming threat. I seek to light scenarios which draw attention to the mood of a specific time of day. Each Landscape holds its own open-ended narration. A story to be found.
