Original artwork description:

‘EVENING BLUE’ is an acrylic painting 28x20 cms on 300gms canvas paper. It is presented in a white card mount 35x28cms. The painting can be transferred to a larger mount if preferred. Please see the pictures where the painting is shown in a glazed frame 56x45cms and can be purchased at an increased shipping cost, if preferred. Nature is the source of all inspiration and ‘Evening Blue’ is no exception. It is a painting that is an equivalent of what is seen and understood not a description or an illustration. A moment in time. A space in time. ‘It is like a secret language made up of magic phrases, a language that comes before words from a time when the things men imagined were more real and true than what they saw when this was the only reality’ – Joan Miro.
When I make a painting I do so to remove myself from ‘reality’. There has to be a point of departure, a place, a memory … this gives birth to a series of things and one thing leads to another.

Materials used:

Acrylic paint, collage and dyes on 300gms canvas paper
