Original artwork description:

I've been wanting to paint one of these colourful little birds for ages and have finally got around to it! This watercolour is painted on Ampersand Aquabord, which is a clay based painting surface, that if sealed after painting doesn't need to be framed behind glass. I've made an oak tray frame for it, though if you would rather frame it behind glass then it is only held in with velcro so can be removed from the frame.
The painting has had two coats of fixative and has then had several coats of sealant, so is well protected. Ampersand is an archival quality surface, so colours will stay vivid.
The painting measures 12.6 x 17.6 cm. Including the frame it measures 15.2 x 20.2 cm.
