Interestingly, I have noticed that only a few paintings focus on the role played by the erotic crocus flowers and the aphrodisiac properties of saffron For that reason, my fauvist interpretation of the myth depicts Europa and Zeus succumbing to the influence of saffron's magic and frolicking in mountainous crocus field,
