This is abstract painting on cotton canvas. The style is defined by sculptural use of paint. It is 3-D, built-up mixture of many layers of thick gesso, paint, sand and other materials.
I'm inspired by the structure of Jupiter's Moons. This one was inspired by the surface of the satellite called Euporie. It was discovered by a team of astronomers from the University of Hawaii led by Scott S. Sheppard in 2001. It was named in August 2003 after Euporie, a Greek goddess of abundance and one of the Horae in Greek mythology (and thus a daughter of Zeus).
Finished with a glaze of UV varnish to protect against sunlight and dust damage. The colors may look a little bit different depending on the screen. This artwork is signed and dated on the back. A signed Certificate Of Authenticity will be included with the artwork. Edges are painted so it doesn't require any frame.
