Part of The Graces series.

In Greek and Roman mythology the Graces (or Charites) were minor goddesses who symbolized beauty charm, and goodness. They were three sisters: Aglaia (brightness or splendor), Euphrosyne (mirth or joyfulness) and Thalia (good cheer or blossoming one).

The Graces were the children of Zeus and Eurynome, a daughter of the Titans Oceanus and Tethys. The main role of the Graces was to bestow beauty, charm, and goodness on young women and to give joy to people in general. Usually the Graces were attending the Greek goddess of Beauty Aphrodite and her companion Eros and loved dancing around in a circle to Apollo's divine music, together with the Nymphs and the Muses.

Framed in a 75mm wide ornate black frame, made from solid pine.
Crystal clear 2mm acrylic glazing.
Shatter proof and 20% clearer than glass.

The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity attached to the back of the frame. The frame is complete with an acid free double mount and backing board, which protects the artwork.

The intricate lace detailing is layered over the top of the acrylic painting using ink and calligraphy nibs.
