Black Thread belongs to Threads of the Soul: The Pearl Collection, a three-part series that uses the pearl as a metaphor for experience: something formed slowly, layer by layer, within a living body. Across the trilogy, white, pink and black mark different emotional states rather than simply different colours.
In Black Thread — Mystery, the darker pearl becomes a symbol of intuition, inward knowledge and the strength that does not need to announce itself. The work is about what remains concealed but active: the private, resilient part of the self that gathers power in silence.
