Artwork description:

This piece is a meditation on nature, on the spirits within nature. It is an exploration into my thoughts on 'Mother Earth' and the female energy that resides in all the natural creations of the world around us. I chose the Banyan tree as a symbol of serenity, of growth and magic. Many thoughts arose whilst creating this piece, one that predominantly spoke to me was the idea that to many, magic seemingly is something of fantasy and myth. However, to me, everyday magic exists within the way that plants grow from nothing, into something, watching flowers bloom silently, but seem to speak through their beauty. The way that all things in this world have a divine coding to become something out of nothing. This concept of ever-changing and ever-growing entities is magical.
