Esther is based on a doll I saw for sale on eBay. I am interested in the idea that we all have a doll made in our image somewhere, in the same way that there may be someone who looks like each of us somewhere in the world. This doppelgänger has a distinctive character and looks to me very much like an Esther!
These are screen printed monotypes from a variable edition of 2. Each of the two prints in the edition are based on the same doll but are unique with extra layers of colour added to print 2/2. You can see them both here. They are printed on soft white Somerset etching paper and have a lovely deckle edge. Let me know which one you prefer.
