Original artwork description:

Framed oil painting showing the play of light, colours and atmosphere of the Scottish Summer. The view is taken from my travels around the Scottish mainland and Isles and is more the feel rather than specific geography. I find it fascinating how the light can create atmospheric drama so synonymous with Scotland. I am constantly finding inspiration surrounding me.

The artwork is painted on a 3mm MDF panel that has been sealed and primed for oils. It has been framed onto a white panel to create a broad relief and then finished off with a black frame. The artwork image itself is 9.5cm x 5.5cm (3.74 x 2.16 inches). The frame is 3.8cm wide by 2.8 cm deep.
