Original artwork description:

Escribà bakery is one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona and one of the first I fell in love with when I originally visited in 1993. This little corner patisserie and chocolatier down Las Ramblas is architectural eye candy with its highly decorative detailing inside and out!

This art piece is part of a series or artworks I have created of Barcelona Modernista architecture (also known as Catalan Art Nouveau).

Intricately stitched with different tones of blue thread and detailed with translucent papers and acrylic paint. It is created on a base of cotton calico fabric and stretched over a wooden panel.

Please note that the colours you see on your monitor may differ slightly from the colour of the original artwork.

If you would like to have a personalised version of this design, another main colour or another size, please just send me a message and I can let you know about options and costs. Please feel free to also contact me if you have any other questions.
