Artwork description:

A mother leads her daughter along a street in Ephesus, Turkey. I left their faces blank because they are two of the people whom the British public were persuaded to fear and loathe in Boris Johnson's 'Vote Leave' Brexit campaign. The image of 76 million unworthy people heading for the UK was a core message of 'Vote Leave'. The architect of that campaign, Dominic Cummings, said later, “If Boris, Gove and Gisela [Stuart, Vote Leave’s chair] had not supported us and picked up the baseball bat marked ‘Turkey/NHS/£350m’ with five weeks to go, then 650,000 votes might have been lost.” Who is now reaching for the baseball bat or will tell these two souls how undesirable they are? Sadly, they will get the message — again and again and again.

This is an original relief print in an edition of 7. The print was pulled from an engraving in rubber. Please feel free to contact me to put a question or make a remark. If you would like this print framed in a flat natural oak 9.5 x 12.6 inches at a price of £120 delivered, I would be happy to create the listing for you.
