I wanted to capture the essence of "mono no aware", a Japanese term translated as 'the pathos of things', 'an empathy toward things', or 'a sensitivity to ephemera', evoking the awareness of impermanence.
I think watercolour is the ideal medium for depicting the sense of ephemeral things, like the leaves falling from a tree, because it gives softness and translucence to the painting. I used a pink-purple palette.
Please Note: Colors depicted may vary on different monitors. If you seek a specific tone or are uncertain about the true colors in any of my paintings, feel free to reach out for additional information. I'm more than happy to provide further details or assistance to ensure your satisfaction.
