This is creation of semi-abstract mixed media painting “Entering the Fjord” by Galina Zimmatore. The painting process was inspired by a sailor’s journey along a rugged coastline who finds an inlet to a small fjord surrounded by snow capped purple mountains. A full moon lights up the peaks of the mountains and creates a placid mysterious setting.
I have combined many different layers of paint and media to bring together a blending of colours together with underlying emotions they may represent to the viewer’s eye. It would be a great gift for any occasion or for someone who has a good imagination and appreciates colours of purple white and violet.
I have used Artist quality acrylic paints on canvas. The painting is framed with an off white floating frame. Final finish is with acrylic varnish for protection from UV sunlight and dust. Ideal for interior display in your home, office, hotel or as a personal gift.
