Ink drawing on cardboard showing a chess player and his adversary, whose presence can be felt only through a few strokes of his figure, giving further enigma to the scene. Enigma in the tactics, strategy, cold calculation and intuition inherent in the game of chess, but also in the figure of the woman who dominates the center of the work offering tea, almost like a ritual for the next, also decisive, moment of pause.
