The picture shows an English bulldog. The dog is sitting. She smiles, her mouth open, her tongue hanging out. The portrait was painted from life.
This breed of dog won me over with its power, speed, tenacious grip. I tried to convey this power in broad strokes. Wide chest of the dog. Powerful paws. Beautiful face. The red color harmonically echoes the turquoise background. The painting is inspired by the works of Matisse and Gauguin.

The picture shows a bulldog named Gypsy. She lives with us today. I met her in 2014. And in 2015, I painted her first portrait. With the bulldog, we visited many dog shows where she received various awards. Over the years, I have painted 5 paintings with bulldogs, some of them are already in private collections.
