Original artwork description:

For this plein air painting, I positioned myself under a gazebo in Barnegat, New Jersey. This experience was especially memorable, because a young man proposed to his girlfriend right next to me. While the sunset itself was engaging, it was the sweet young couple that inspired the title "engagement". The painting went on to win an Honorable Mention from Peter Trippi, Editor in Chief of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine.
