Original artwork description:

I have experiemented alot, over the years , trying to capture the atmosphere of the changing seasons, through my paintings of trees. My thoughts lately, have been constantly been reminded of the fragillity of this earth and the strong links between trees and its survival. With this painting , I wanted to show the beauty and joy the different seasons give us , and then the desolation we would be left with , eventually , through climate change. Since I started this painting it has evolved into a giant of a painting in both size and feeling , capturing the atmosphere of all the different seasons and the eventual dying out of trees and seasons, in one scene. This painting is a dipytych and textured and layered with pallet knife and brush.

Materials used:

oil
