This work is part of the "Abstract Landscapes" series. They are landscapes where the only real reference is the horizon line.
This is a scene from my mind ..so could be anywhere and everywhere for you. Perhaps to awaken some personal memories and feelings.
I'm inspired by color, texture and movement. It is a song to nature and life.
The surface has small reliefs. Painted with brush and palette knife also. It has a lot of layers of paint. The horizon line is quite textured. Some areas have golden paint. It is varnished.
I build the composition slowly over time, adding layers of colors and working them over and over again. The work is only considered finished when the balance arrives. I then pull the painting out of the chaos of the studio and hang it on a wall for one last moment of contemplation before it is finally signed.
