Emma looks defiantly and thoughtfully at the viewer, almost languid, wrapped in intense colours. This painting means a lot to me because I worked with total freedom in her style, using colours, spatulas, and leaving visible marks and strokes that give life to the work. Almost with wings, her thoughts fly along with mine. Self-portrait? I don't know, as I'm sure all my works have something of me in them. There is no model for this painting, spontaneous and full of strength, in a very personal style that I enjoy doing.
