Original artwork description:

This painting is all about the intense green that arrives in the summer months. In this piece the intensity of green is magnified by the reflections in the water. I've worked on the painting over a number of days allowing layers to dry before adding more. I tried to create a piece that creates a slight claustrophobia (in a good way I hope) by not allowing any sky to show, allowing the green to be all encompassing. The edges are painted in Paynes grey and this piece is ready to hang.

Materials used:

oil linseed oil and cold wax
