Original artwork description:

This idyllic spot is a small tear shaped lake which connects to Lake Tahoe in California. We spent a beautiful day there in the summer of 2019, exploring Eagle Falls and Vikingsholm, a 38-room mansion that is considered one of the finest examples of Scandinavian architecture in the United States.

The island in the middle of the lake has a little house on it, which the lady who built and owned Vikingsholm used to ferry her ladies of leisure across to and enjoy tea and cake together.

This canvas is unframed, but the image continues around the sides of the canvas, so it can be hung as is.
