Aliso Creek in City of Laguna Beach is one of my favorite beaches in southern CA - there are rip currents and the waves are high and dangerous looking. On a morning visit during the last weekend in May the water was clear and unusually warm for this time of year - with this brilliant green coloring. Light filtering through a wall of rushing water produces a diffused glow - there are numerous variations in light - and eventually there is simply not enough room on the palette for all the shades of colors.
