This series was inspired by my love for islands and sea. I continue my experimenting with embroidery with this series. This time I used watercolor on canvas for the basics then added the next layer with thread so I could give a depth to my painting. Lower parts are simply painted like the sea, high parts like mountains are embroidered. It results a 3d effect and a decorative, abstract look.
