Original artwork description:

Random trips throughout New York City always have me amused. The further down you travel the "sketchy" alleyways, the more interesting the art becomes. This is where is all began for me and it always seems to influence me over and over again. The colors and flow of street art, and graffiti was so ground breaking for me that it has never really left my grounds of influence. This piece shows this directly. Although the original idea was much different than what was created, the final product is something that I am very happy I embraced. I wanted to let the color flow on this one and blend, but blend in such a way that it gave the painting substance and depth. There is no intentional symbolism attached to the colors or what is coming out of her mouth. Some have said it is smoke, other say it is her voice (singing).
The original idea was for the color to be water being splashed, but as I usually do not plan out my pieces, this one truly took on a life of its own.
