Here, set against a light grey background is a depiction of a Thistle, the floral emblem of Scotland. Although we know the thistle as being a prickly plant it has a beautiful feathery flower head in varying shades of purple and pink. Since it is painted on a board this work doesn't require a frame and comes with its own mini easel allowing it to be displayed on a table top, desk, shelf etc.
