Original artwork description:

I was inspired to create this piece after a study of pollen grains at the microscopic level and the finished piece reminds me of fire, hence the name "embers". Swirling, gestural brush strokes on the base layer of paint, a mix of burnt red, terracotta and dusty pink that I have followed with the top layer of detailed lace-like circles.
