Original artwork description:

Embankment Bridge Manchester
The shapes and forms of our rich juxtaposition of old and new in cities in the North West of England is a subject of fascination and visual interest to me.

Materials
The painting is executed with a combination of artists quality watercolour and wax with Indian ink on heavy handmade watercolour paper which is size A4

For watercolour paintings, I use acid free hand made, cold pressed, archival quality textured watercolour paper, sized internally and externally, and sometimes with a gesso primer.

The painting has a similarity in appearance with a print, but these are not prints, This quality comes from the process of using wax relief and Indian ink, and then heating and pressing the work. this results in an unreal finish which may look a bit like a printed surface.

The watercolour painting is unframed on heavy weight archival matte paper and is sold unframed

Size
11 x 8 inches
