Original artwork description:

This painting is inspired by a recent trip to the ancient ruins of Pompeii and centres around the incredible sculptures by Igor Mitoraj. His use of iconic images based on Classical myths and legends against the backdrop of ancient remains of buildings is truly a sight to behold. Here I have set the images in a landscape tinged with a classical classical Italian backdrop.

Sides of painting are treated sympathetically so painting can be hung without frame.
