4Gats Restaurant Original Textile Painting

Els 4Gats Restaurant is one of the most iconic buildings in Barcelona. This cafe/restaurant was a popular meeting place for famous artists during the Art Nouveau period, including Picasso. This artwork is part of a series of pieces I have created of Barcelona Art Nouveau architecture called Modernista Magic.

I have created this piece on calico canvas using acid-free translucent papers and acrylic paints. The lines have been stitched using deep red embroidery thread and it is stretched over a wooden board. My signature is also stitched into the artwork.

Please note that the colours you see on your monitor may differ slightly from the colour of the original artwork.
