Original artwork description:

This painting grew out of a slow process. The starting point for this piece has been the soft colour scheme. There are many layers in this painting; it started off with a blue and orange colour scheme and was then softened by shades of apricot, blush, off white, soft blue and pink. Its palette attempts to capture a mood of dreaminess and lightness. The viewer is invited to follow their own, gentle train of thoughts.

I enjoyed bold and soft brush strokes and more detailed mark making in this piece. I create my own paint by mixing dry pigments with various matte dispersions. The result is a high level of pigmentation in all of paint used.

The canvas has been painted around the edges in a complementary colour. Hooks and cord are attached at the back – the painting is ready for hanging.

The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
