I'm fortunate that I live close to the coast. From an early age I remember going down to the beach with my Father mosts weekends. Then as now it still holds a magical quality, the light always seems more 'atmospheric' and the horizon more distant.

Painted on canvas over wooden frame. Painting attempts to convey the effect of the last rays of light on the beach when the tide is coming in. I have given a translucency to the work in order to accentuate the mirroring effect the landscape displays in these conditions.

Pictures are taken with a canon 450D camera in dull daylight in flash off mode and are as faithful as i can take them.

Painting will come varnished and ready to hang with sealed in certificate to the rear and signed of course.
