This work has been inspired by the works of Dean Cornwell, a great American illustrator from the 1930s and 1940s. Personally, I seek ways to describe stories, situations, and contexts that occur in my environment, that sensitize me and transport me away from the present. In this piece, the stark contrast between cold and warm colors, along with the interplay of light and shadow, is juxtaposed with more subjective forms. This allows me to create dreamlike scenarios that abstract me from the reality in which I exist.
