Acrylic on canvas. 153 x 123cm. This is a large-scale black and white painting of an elephant. which merges an abstract style with real subject matter I couldn't wait to have a go at creating a powerful image of an elephant. I opted for a black and white palette as it made sense to me a high contrast would give me a much more striking effect. . I have also used various shades of black to play with the depth and shadow balance. To help me with the overall design, I used a number of different of elephant images to morph together a pose that I felt depicted an elephant in full force, a strong, beautiful creature that captivates the viewer's attention. Signed, dated and ready to hang. Unframed.
