Bit of a change for me - ok it's still a horse of course! But getting back to my natural roots of more gestural painting. This is a new path for my work I feel.
I met El Tonelero a few years ago, to draw his portrait; and I was very impressed at the quality of the breed given that he is a stallion. Pure serenity. Pure calm. But with "presence". It blew me away, all my years of being round horses, he showed me another side to what is traditonally known of stallions, potententily dangerous.. well he is just a sweet beast.( And yes, I did get to take him out for a trail ride!!)
So with this piece I wanted to reflect those feelings, the powerfulness and yet the calmness of the "horse".
Thanks for dropping by and having a look at my work.
