The Last Outpost, was also the last place outside the UK I visited before the COVID pandemic hit. Walking around the island following the trails was a great way to start the year to get fitter and leaner. Took a lot of photographs of the green and often cloudy landscapes.

This challenge was to create a work in the style of Alf Stockham. He had been a tutor for one of the group. Alf did small jewel like paintings. So the colours had to be bright and the painting needed to move and sparkle.

I've created a collection "Covid Creativity - Art from Lock-down". The Art Challenge between a group of artists who got to know each other in and around Hereford. Setting challenges for each other, either based on an artistic style, medium or subject. Meeting virtually to share our results.

Image 20 x 20 cm (8 x8") is completed in acrylic on acrylic paper. The painting is in a white wooden frame 25 x 25 x 3 cm (10 x 10"). It has no mount so the edges of the work are natural not straight and crisp.
