Egg is a sculpture I made during quarantine with the upcoming Easter in mind.
The egg is carved in majella stone and the surprise is gone. Only the open and empty shell remains.
It is a perfect, polished, natural organic form that invites you to be touched and caressed.


Technical Sheet

The work is carved from a block of limestone from Majella mountain. Some small pieces of stone are fixed on the top of the egg.. The stones I used are quite soft and with the characteristic of hardening externally over time to form a harder external layer.
