It was a very unusual light that day in the early evening. The sun was setting, and brought out an extraordinary warm glow on the stonework of the tenement buildings in this view in Edinburgh. Normally the stonework looks much less colourful. And the sky was an unusually strong blue. Adding to the the drama was the golden reflection of the sun in the widows in the foreground building. I could not resist this unusual sight, hence this painting completed in late Summer, 2020.
Framed and ready to hang on the wall.
