The painting I created, titled "Eclipse," features a remarkable combination of material and chromatic elements that recall the idea of ​​the natural phenomenon of an eclipse. The use of textures, drapes and metallic colors such as copper and gold creates a sense of three-dimensionality, which allows the viewer to immerse themselves in the work. The upper part seems to evoke the darkness of the moon covering the sun, represented with a dark grainy surface, symbolizing the part hidden during the eclipse. The golden band, on the other hand, could recall the light of the sun escaping from the edges of the moon, creating a sort of solar "corona", an element visible in a real solar eclipse.
Overall, "Eclipse" is not only a representation of an astronomical event, but also seems to reflect a process of transformation, change and beauty hidden in the shadow and light.
