What brings to mind a day at the beach or shore?
The colors of the water, the bright tones of vendors and children at play? This small original mixed media work carries all those echoes. Made of painted and cut paper pieces of varied sizes and thicknesses, this bright work was inspired by the textures and colors of the sea.
I love to play with art materials and mix them up to see what happens. I live near the East Coast of the USA and draw much of my inspiration from my local sights and sounds. This piece was one of several done via a process of painting and decorating the paper first, and then cutting and assembling it into compositions that pleased me.
Note that this work ships in a white mat and backing board, and can be easily slipped into an 8" x 10" frame.
Materials used:
toned paper, acrylic gouache, watercolor, gold mica paste, mix media permanent ink pens, permanent PVA glue, white mat board and backing board
