Original artwork description:

I did this pleinair painting during Erik Sandgren coastal paint out summer 2024. It's always great fun and I enjoy meeting like minded people. I'm always attracted to reflections so I found a spot where I could catch this walking bridge and the reflections of it and the bright green foliage behind it. I thought the grouping of rocks made some nice contrast to the softness of the vegetation.

"Echoes of Ona Beach" invites you to step into a tranquil, natural sanctuary where time seems to stand still. This 9x12 oil painting captures the idyllic scene of a wooden bridge gracefully arching over a gentle river. The bridge, held steadfast by sturdy concrete pillars, becomes a pathway to contemplation as a solitary figure dressed in blue strolls across it. The surroundings are lush and vibrant, with greenery cascading from the branches of trees and bushes lining the riverbank. Rocky terrain adds texture to the landscape, grounding the viewer in the authenticity of the coastal environment.

One of the most striking features of this work is the way the water mirrors its environment, capturing reflections of the sky, trees, and bridge in a symphony of colors and shapes that dance along its surface. This reflective quality not only enhances the sense of serenity but also creates a dialogue between the elements of the painting, drawing the viewer into a deeper appreciation of nature's beauty.

Painted en plein air on the Oregon coast at Ona Beach, the artwork exudes authenticity and depth, encapsulating a fleeting moment captured with both precision and heart. The composition is both serene and contemplative, making it a lovely homage to the natural landscapes that inspire it. This painting offers a peaceful escape into a world where nature’s quiet beauty is immortalized in oil.

This painting is 100% original and hand painted by me from scratch using only the finest materials.
